Braid群の一般化や関連した群

Braid群 \(\mathrm {Br}_n\) の一般化として, トポロジーの視点からは, Euclid空間以外の空間の configuration space基本群がすぐに思いつくものである。例えば, グラフを\(1\)次元の cell complex とみなし, その configuration space の基本群を考えることができる。それをグラフの braid 群という。

曲面のbraid群については, 例えば Bardakov ら[Bar+12] により Brunnian braid が調べられている。

曲面とグラフの両方に関係した braid 群の変種として, Bökstedt と Romão [BR] の divisor braid がある。

2次元 orbifold の configuration space の orbifold fundamental group を orbifold braid group という。 Allcock の [All02] で調べられたのが最初のようである。 Roushon が [Rou21; Roub; Roua] で調べている。

3次元以上の単連結な多様体 \(M\) に対しては configuration space が単連結であることは, fibration \[ \mathrm {Conf}_{n-1}(M\setminus \{\ast \}) \rarrow {} \mathrm {Conf}_n(M) \rarrow {} M \] からすぐ分かる。ただ, そのような多様体に対しても, configuration space の幾何学的に意味のある subspace として, 単連結でないものが存在したりする。 複素射影空間の場合を, Berceanu と Parveen [BP12a; BP12b] が調べている。

グラフを特異点を持つ1次元多様体と考えると, グラフの braid 群と曲面の braid 群の共通の一般化として2次元単体的複体や胞体複体の braid 群が考えられる。 もちろん, より高次元の単体的複体の braid 群も考えられるが, An と Park の [AP17] によると, 任意の次元の単体的複体に対し, braid 群が同型になる2次元の単体的複体が取れるようである。

幾何学的なものでは, 種数 \(0\) の実代数曲線の moduli space の Deligne-Mumford compactification \(\overline {\mathcal {M}_{0,n}(\R )}\) の基本群がある。 Henriques と Kamnitzer の [HK06] では cactus group と呼ばれている。

この名前は, \(\mathcal {M}_{0,n}(\R )\) の元を円周 (\(\RP ^1\)) 上に\(n\)個の marked point が付いたものとみなしたとき, \(\overline {\mathcal {M}_{0,n}(\R )}\) の元がそれらをいくつか接するようにくっつけたもので, ウチワサボテンのような形をしているからである。

Henriques と Kamnitzer の発見は, braid group が braided monoidal category と 関係しているように, cactus group が coboundary category と関係していることである。

Braid 群を \(x_i-x_j=0\) という形の超平面全てを集めた超平面配置 (braid arrangement) あるいは対称群に付随するものと考え, より一般に reflection arrangement や reflection group に対して braid 群の拡張を定義することも考えられている。 [BS72; Bri73] など。 より一般に Coxeter diagram から定義される Artin group がある。群ではなく, monoid を生成すると braid monoid とか Artin monoid と呼ばれるものができる。

更に, complex reflection group から定義される complex braid group もある。Callegaro と Salvetti の [CS20] など。 また, complex hyperbolic space での arrangement からは, complex hyperbolic braid group が定義される。Allcock と Basak の [AB16; AB18] など。

また, cactus group を他の reflection group に一般化することも考えられている。Davis と Januszkiewicz と Scott により [DJS03] で mock reflection group の名前で導入された。例えば, Losev の [Los19] などで登場する。 Chmutov と Glick と Pylyavskyy [CGP20] は, cactus groupと Berenstein と Kirillov の仕事 [KB95]で登場する群 (Berenstein-Kirillov group) との関係を発見している。

他にも様々なものがある。例えば, 以下のようなもの:

Right-angled Artin group とグラフの braid 群については, 共にグラフから定義されるbraid群に類似の群ということで, その関係は気になるところである。現在の状況については, [KKP12] を見るとよい。

自由群の automorphism group と pure braid group の中間に位置する群として, “trivial link の motion group” として解釈できる群がある。Jensen と McCammond と Meier の [JMM06] では \(P\Sigma _n\) と書かれ, その integral cohomology が調べられている。そこでは [MM04] を参照するように書かれている。

Loday と Stein は, [LS05] で parametrized braid group の概念を導入し, それが Steinberg group と braid group の半直積になることを示している。

Braid群と他の群の半直積になっている群としては, framed braid group がある。 Ko と Smolinsky により [KS92] で導入された。 これは \(\Z ^n\) と \(\mathrm {Br}_n\) の半直積である。Tillmann の [Til00] や Zhang の [Zha] では, ribbon braid group と呼ばれている。 \((\Z /p^r\Z )^n\)と\(\mathrm {Br}_n\)の半直積で \(r\rightarrow \infty \) とすると \(p\)-adic framed braid が得られる。 Juyumaya と Lambropoulou の [JL07; JL13] などで調べられている。

他の群と組み合せたものとしては, Fedoseev, Manturov, Cheng の [FMC15]で導入された \(G\)-braid groupがある。

Woolf は, [Woo09] で stratified space に対して, 基本群に対応する fundamental category を定義している。 その中で \(\bbC \) の symmetric product の fundamental category を調べているが, その morphism として, 紐の終点が異なってなくてもよい braid の一般化が現 われる。Braid category とでも言うべきものである。Braid群の一般化として自然な方向であり興味深い。

定義から, braid 群 \(\mathrm {Br}_{n}\) の pure braid群 \(\mathrm {PB_r}_n\) による商群は \(n\)次対称群 \(\Sigma _n\) になる。他にも braid群の商群は, 様々な場合が調べられている。 Goncalves と Guaschi と Ocampo [GGO17] の Introduction を見るとよい。彼等自身は braid群の pure braid群の交換子による商群 \(\mathrm {Br}_n/[\mathrm {PBr}_n,\mathrm {PBr}_n]\) を調べ, それが crystallographic group になることを示している。

全く別の方向への一般化としては, Rouquier [Rou06] による categorified braid group がある。
