Skew Monoidal Categories

Skew monoidal category とは, 簡単に言えば, monoidal category の associativity や unit の条件から isomorphism であることを省いたものである。 Szlachanyi の [Szl12] で導入された。その動機は, bialgebroid を 扱うための枠組みだった。

Skew monoidal category については, Lack と Street が色々調べて, 既存の monoidal category に関する概念を一般化している。

• skew closed category と skew-monoidale [Str]
• skew warping と skew bicategory [LSb]

また [LSa] では monadとの関係を調べ, [LSd] では1つの object で生成された free skew monoidal category を構成している。 Bourke と Lack [BLb] は, その free skew monoidal category の explicit な記述を得ている。

Bourk と Lack [BLa] は, skew monoidal category に braiding を導入している。

Bourke と Lack [BLc] は, skew monoidal category に対応する multicategory の一般化を導入している。

Buckley と Garner と Lack と Street の [Buc+a; Buc+b] では, Catalan number から作られた, ある simplicial set から small category の成す monoidal bicategory の nerve への simplicial set の morphism として記述されている。 Monoidale などの他の monoidal structure も Catalan simplicial set を用いて記述できるようである。Buckley の [Buc] など。

その monoidale の skew-monoidal category 版である skew-monoidale は, Lack と Street [LSc] により導入された。

Bourke [Bou] は, skew monoidal category の構造を持つ model category で, その homotopy category が closed monoidal category になるものについて調べている。
