Proper Actions of Topological Groups

Noncompact な群の作用を考えるときには, 作用が proper であるという条件を要求するのが普通である。ただ, 状況により様々な条件を追加することも多く, variation が色々ある。

それらの定義を整理したものとして Biller の [Bil04] がある。 そこでは, まず Cartan action を定義し, それに条件を追加することで, 以下 のものを定義している。

• proper action
• Palais-proper action
• strongly proper action
• principal action

Palais-proper action については, Antonyan の [Ant10] がある。

Proper action に関連したものとして, 部分群の族に関する classifying space がある。

• classifying space for family of subgroups

これについては, Lück の survey [Lüc05] がある。
