Tate-Hochschild (Co)homology

群の cohomologyには, Tate cohomology という negative side を持つ変種があるが, その Hochschild 版は何人かの人が独立に発見している。

Wang [Wan21] によると, 最初の試みは, 通常の bimodule の category の derived category を singularity category に変えて Gorenstein algebra の Tate cohomology を定義した Buchweitz の 未出版のもの [Buc86], らしい。 その後も, 例えば, Eu と Schedler の [ES09] や Bergh とJorgensen [BJ13] などで, 再発見されている。

Wang は, [Wan; RW19] では singular Hochschild cohomology と呼んでいたが, [Wan21] では, Tate-Hochschild cohomology という呼び方に変えている。

Van C. Nguyen [Ngu13] は, 有限次元 Hopf algebra の Tate cohomology を定義し, Bergh と Jørgensen の Tate-Hochschild cohomology と比較している。

Buchweitz による approach では, derived category の Verdier quotient を用いて定義されるが, それでは具体的に計算するのは難しい。 古典的な Hochschild (co)homology のように, Tate-Hochschild (co)homology を計算する chain complex があると便利である。 それについては, Rivera と Wang の [RW19] や Wang の [Wan21] がある。

Wang は Batalin-Vilkovisky structure を Tate-Hochschild cohomology に拡張できるか, という問題についても考えている。
